Ba Na Hills Tickets: What the Ticket Covers, Where to Buy, and How to Save

Ba Na Hills is the biggest single expense on most Da Nang trips, and most of it is the cable car ticket. Knowing what the ticket covers avoids both surprises and over-buying.
What the ticket covers
The all-in ticket normally includes:
- The cable car up and down
- The Golden Bridge — the reason most people come
- The French Village, the Debay wine cellar, Le Jardin d'Amour gardens
- Most of the indoor rides in Fantasy Park
It normally does not include:
- Food and drink on the mountain
- A handful of separately ticketed attractions
- The funicular, during some periods
- Transport from Da Nang
Children are priced by height
This is where families miscalculate: Ba Na prices children by height, not age. There are three bands — free, child, and adult. A tall eight-year-old can end up on an adult ticket. Measure your child before you go and check the current thresholds.
Resident discounts
Sun World runs periods with reduced or free entry for registered residents of Da Nang, sometimes extended to Quang Nam. To be clear: these are campaign periods, not a standing policy, and you always have to show documents. If you are a resident, check first; if you are not, do not count on it.

Where to buy
- The ticket office at the cable car station — always the correct price, but queues at weekends
- Sun World's official site — buy ahead, get a QR code, skip the queue
- Agents and hotels — convenient, occasionally a little cheaper; use one that issues a proper receipt
Timing the day so the ticket is not wasted
You have paid for the whole day, so how you spend the hours up there decides whether it was worth it:
- Go up early, 07:30–08:00 — the Golden Bridge is solid with people by 09:00; at 08:30 you can still photograph it
- Use Fantasy Park at midday — indoors, out of the sun and the mist
- Come down before 16:00 or after 17:30 — 16:00 to 17:00 is the crush at the downward station
Getting there
Ba Na is 25 km from central Da Nang, 40 km from the airport, 45 km from Hoi An. Cars drive right to the cable car station.
| Route | 4-seater | 7-seater |
|---|---|---|
| Airport → Ba Na, one way | 300,000₫ | 350,000₫ |
| Return, driver waits all day | 600,000₫ | 700,000₫ |

Who should skip Ba Na
Said plainly, so nobody wastes a day and an expensive ticket:
- Anyone who struggles to walk — the summit involves a lot of walking and many steps, and not every route has a level alternative
- Children under three — cold, crowded, and almost nothing suited to them
- Anyone on a two-day trip — Ba Na takes a whole day; with two days, Hoi An gives a richer one

FAQ
What does a Ba Na Hills ticket include?
The all-in cable car ticket normally covers the ride up and down, entry to the French Village, the Golden Bridge, Le Jardin gardens, and most of the indoor rides in Fantasy Park. Not included: food and drink, the funicular during some periods, and a few separately ticketed attractions. Prices change by season, so check Sun World's official site before you go.
How are children's tickets calculated?
Ba Na prices children by HEIGHT, not by age. Below a set height it is free, in a middle band it is a child ticket, and above that it is the adult price. The exact thresholds have changed over time — measure your child and check the current bands on the official site.
Is there any way to visit Ba Na more cheaply?
Three things genuinely work: go on a weekday rather than a weekend or holiday; watch for Sun World's discount rounds for residents of Da Nang and Quang Nam (these run in periods, they are not a standing policy); and carry your own snacks and water, because prices at the summit are much higher. Do not buy tickets from touts in the car park.
