ダナンは何月に行くべきか:月別の天候、テト、4月30日連休、花火大会シーズン

Da Nang has two clear seasons: dry from February to August, wet from September to January. But the real questions are more specific — is July too hot, does October rain all the time. The table answers month by month.
Twelve months
| Month | Temperature | Character | Crowds |
|---|---|---|---|
| January | 19–25°C | Coolest, some rain lingering, cold sea | Quiet, except at Tet |
| February | 21–27°C | Drying out, comfortable | Busy around Lunar New Year |
| March | 23–29°C | Dry, gentle sun — the best of the year | Moderate |
| April | 25–31°C | Fine sun, clear water | Packed over the 30 April holiday |
| May | 26–33°C | Warming, the sea at its best | Peak season beginning |
| June | 27–35°C | Hot, hard sun | Summer peak, high room rates |
| July | 27–37°C | The hottest | Summer peak |
| August | 26–35°C | Still hot, first showers | Easing late in the month |
| September | 25–33°C | Rainy season starts, still light | Quiet — the best value of the year |
| October | 23–30°C | Heavy rain, typhoon season | Quiet |
| November | 22–28°C | Wettest month, storms still possible | Quiet |
| December | 20–26°C | Rain easing, cool, rough sea | Busy again over Christmas and New Year |
Three periods that need their own note
Lunar New Year (January or February)
- Cool, fine weather — but many restaurants close for two to four days around the first day
- Rooms and cars cost noticeably more; book three or four weeks ahead
- Temples such as Linh Ung Pagoda and the Marble Mountains are crowded with local worshippers
30 April – 1 May
The busiest domestic holiday of the year. The beaches fill, room rates jump, and the roads to Hoi An and Ba Na back up. Travel another week if you can; if you cannot, book everything at least a month out.
The international fireworks festival (DIFF)
Usually held on weekend evenings from around June into July. On show nights both banks of the Han River and the bridges are jammed, and several streets close from late afternoon. See the Da Nang international fireworks festival and how to travel and park on fireworks nights.

Is the rainy season worth it?
September is the most underrated month: the summer peak is over, room rates drop, and the rain has only just started. In October and November the real risk is storms, not rain:
- When a typhoon hits, the airport can close — buy a changeable ticket
- The Ba Na cable car stops in high wind
- Boats to Cham Island stop
- Hoi An old town can flood for days — see Hoi An in the rainy season
The short version
- Safest and finest → March, April, May
- Best sea, if you accept heat and crowds → June, July
- Cheapest and quietest → September
- Think twice → October and November (storms), and the Tet and 30 April holidays (crowded and expensive)

FAQ
Which month is best for Da Nang?
March to May is the best stretch: dry, moderate sun, good sea, and not yet peak pricing. June to August is the hottest and the busiest with domestic travellers. September to December is the rainy season, with typhoons in October and November.
Is Da Nang very hot in July?
Yes. July is one of the two hottest months, typically 33 to 37°C with hard sun from 10:00 to 15:00. It still works if you plan around it — early morning and late afternoon out, midday resting or somewhere air-conditioned. The sea in July is excellent.
How wet are October and November?
Those are the two wettest months and also typhoon season. But central Vietnam's rain usually comes in bursts of a few hours rather than all day. The real risk is a storm: when one hits, the airport can close and the Ba Na cable car stops — so buy a changeable air ticket.
